2020 Fall Professional Development Series

(Re)-Engineering the Student Experience During a Pandemic

Oct 4- Dec 10

Guiding Question:

What does student success look like in a pandemic?

The pandemic has deeply affected each of us in so many ways. Our soon-to be graduates and fellows are facing a tough job market and are even more anxious about changing workforce needs. How do we provide flexible and compassionate support for our faculty, staff and students during this time? How do we utilize our interdisciplinary expertise to harness high quality remote learning and research experiences?

The goal of the fall series is to foster interaction and collaboration among  unit leaders, faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students to create team-based learning and action. In interactive sessions, participants will consider their roles as scientists, engineers, researchers, innovators, educators, and leaders and explore effective practices for remote instruction, research and mentoring activities. We hope that you can join us to share what has been working for you!
